Meet the Team
John Akers
Owner & President
John Akers founded Cinematic Home A/V in 2021, drawing upon over 15 years of experience in the audio/video industry. His affinity for music and cinema, however, dates all the way back to his childhood. Early on, he discovered the profound power movies and music had to transport him to a completely different place or time. Fueled by this passion, John has made it his mission to share this immersive experience with others.
John has garnered a winning reputation within the high end audio and home cinema industry through a “client-centric” approach. This means meticulous attention to detail—in product selection, installation and service—and a genuine enthusiasm for the process. He believes that these qualities are instrumental in elevating the client experience from good to exceptional, and is proudly building on this philosophy now within his own company.
Outside of his professional pursuits, John finds joy in spending time with his family, having movie nights at home, listening to music and playing golf. He attributes his accomplishments and blessings to God, and is dedicated to a life of excellence that glorifies his Creator.
